Santa and His Little Elf

What a busy weekend! There are so many fun things to do this time of year. I finally got to meet Santa Claus! Mom and Dad keep telling me about him and showing me pictures, but I finally got to meet the man in the red suit! I was a very good girl (the boy in front of me and the boy behind me both cried when they sat on Santa's lap, but not me! Ok - I may not have smiled, but I didn't cry either!). I asked Santa for a new wagon, a bike carrier, and a swimming pool, so we'll see if I was good enough to get any those presents. I also went to the MN Landscape Arboretum over the weekend, and all I can say is that my family is crazy! You will see why below...

Santa and Me

Sweetie Pie!

What happened to me? I turned into an elf!

As one little boy said, "Hey, it's a real elf!"

Santa's little helper!

Sorry kiddo, you can't eat this gingerbread man!

Santa's elf and the gingerbread man

I love being an elf! Just give me
my hammer back!

Shouldn't I be making toys for
all the good little boys and girls?

Let's go!

Happy elf!

Grandma's lil' elf!

My little elf smile!

Let's go find more fun Grandma!

What's that thing on my head?

I Met Goldy Gopher!!

Oh boy! Mom and Dad took me to another Gopher hockey game! We were suppose to go on Saturday night, but because of the blizzard, the game was rescheduled for Sunday afternoon. An afternoon game was right up my alley since it was right between my afternoon nap and bedtime. I had so much fun and I got to meet Goldy Gopher! He was really friendly and I wasn't even scared of him! I think Mom was more excited than I was when Goldy plopped down in the empty seat next to us and starting talking to me.

Sitting on Grandma's lap

I'll touch your nose...

...and you can touch mine!

Me and my new buddy, Goldy!

I love watching the hockey boys!

Go Gophers!

C'mon guys, can't I have some?

Keeping Busy During a Blizzard

I survived my very first blizzard! I am not really sure what a blizzard is, but I do know that Mom and Dad spent an awful lot of time outside shoveling snow. They would keep coming inside all full of snow, all just to go back outside a few hours later to shovel some more. Quite frankly, if that was me, I would have just waited until all the snow fell and shoveled it just one time, but Dad said there was just too much snow to do that. Since they said we couldn't go anywhere, we had to entertain ourselves inside. That was pretty easy to do with me, a Christmas tree, a present, and Santa!

I can't get it open.
Can I play with the pretty things on the tree or
are you just teasing me?
 Chilling out!

Listen up Santa, there are a few things that I
need to talk to you about...

What pretty ornaments - I like Mom's
first Christmas ornament the best!

This is fun!

Mom and Dad's favorite present under the tree!!
I am too sweet!

Hey, this blue one keeps getting in the way!

I have a goofy smile! Am I teething? My
cheeks are so rosey!

I think I really am Santa's favorite!

The holidays and learning how to eat

I am six months old! Time flies when you are having fun! I think I have figured out this sitting thing, and now I am trying to master this eating thing. Vegetables are so yummy! Mom is just hoping that my opinion of vegetables doesn't change the older I get.

Mom and Dad are getting me all ready for Christmas and Santa Clause! I can't wait for him to come to my house on Christmas - I am crossing my fingers that I was a good girl and he will remember to stop by! I will definitely leave him some cookies and milk. I am not sure what that is, but Mom and Dad assure me it's Santa's favorite!

Someone come save me!

Helping Mom and Dad put up the Christmas tree.

I am such a good eater! I am still figuring out how
much of my food should go in my mouth!

My fingers have a special sauce on them that helps the
vegetables go down. Shh...don't tell Mom and Dad - they
don't know!!

Who's gonna pull the biggest piece of the wishbone? Close your
eyes and make a wish!

Pulling, pulling, pulling....

Bummer! Dad won!

Dad's so nice - he gave me the bigger piece
of the wishbone. I sure hope my wish comes true!!

Opening my very first Christmas present!

Santa and I are buddies! I told him all the toys I
want for Christmas...

Merry Christmas Santa!
